Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Unpacking: Carefully unpack the UPS and check for any damage. Ensure all components are included.
- Mounting: Install the UPS in a rack or tower configuration as needed, using the provided hardware.
- Connections: Connect the input power cable (C20 coupler) to a suitable power source. Connect your devices to the output outlets (C13 and C19 couplers).
- Initial Power-Up: Turn on the UPS and allow it to charge the battery.
- Configuration: Configure the UPS settings through the LCD display or network management interface (if applicable).
Compatibility:
The Eaton 5PX Gen2 UPS is compatible with a wide range of devices. Ensure that the total power consumption of all connected devices does not exceed the UPS's output capacity (3000W). Verify that the power plugs are compatible with the outlets (C13, C19 and C20 couplers).
Care:
- Battery Maintenance: Perform regular battery tests using the built-in test function. Replace the battery every 3-5 years, or sooner if performance degrades.
- Environment: Operate the UPS within the specified temperature and humidity ranges. Avoid placing the UPS in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
- Cleaning: Clean the exterior of the UPS with a dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the UPS to prevent overheating.
