Setup, Compatibility & Care
Preparation: Ensure all wood surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and old coatings. For previously treated wood, lightly sand to ensure adhesion. New wood should be treated with an appropriate preservative if necessary.
Application: Stir the woodstain thoroughly before and during use. Apply evenly with a good quality brush, working in the direction of the wood grain. Apply two coats for optimal protection and color. Allow adequate drying time between coats as per the product instructions.
Compatibility: Suitable for most interior and exterior wood surfaces, including doors, window frames, sheds, fences, and furniture. *Not suitable for decking.* Always test on an inconspicuous area first to confirm suitability and color.
Care: Clean brushes and equipment immediately after use with water. For ongoing maintenance, wipe surfaces with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners. Reapplication may be needed after 10 years or if signs of wear appear.
