This 5/16" x 5/16" water pipe connector (PM0408S) is designed to extend or repair 5/16" water filter pipe with an easy push-fit connection. Manufactured in grey push-fit acetal copolymer, it is suitable for foodstuffs, potable liquids, and inert gases. The fitting can also be used with N2/CO2 and mixed gas dispense lines, as well as air, pneumatic, and vacuum applications. John Guest fittings feature a unique collet locking design that securely holds the pipe without deforming it or restricting flow. They are corrosion-resistant, fully demountable for improved system performance and reduced downtime, and made from rigid, hard-wearing acetal copolymer material. The instant push-fit connection provides a leak-tight seal, allowing connection, disconnection, and reconnection in seconds without tools. No scale build-up improves performance and equipment lifespan, and superior flow characteristics are maintained. Compatible with LLDPE or soft metal pipe/tubing. Primarily used for extending water pipes on refrigerators with water filters.
