Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
This planter typically requires drainage holes to be drilled in the base if they are not pre-existing. Use a standard drill with an appropriate bit for plastic. Place a layer of gravel or similar material at the bottom before adding soil to further improve drainage.
Compatibility:
Suitable for a wide range of plants including shrubs, perennials, ornamental grasses, small trees, and annuals. It can be used with standard potting mixes and compost.
Care:
Clean the planter periodically with a damp cloth and mild soap to remove dust and dirt. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, which can damage the plastic or its finish. For winter storage, it can be emptied and stored in a sheltered location, although the durable plastic is designed for outdoor use year-round.
