Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before using your Dutch oven for the first time, wash it in warm, soapy water and dry it thoroughly. While the enamel is durable, avoid using metal utensils that might scratch the surface; silicone or wooden tools are recommended.
For cleanup, allow the pot to cool down naturally before rinsing to avoid thermal shock, which can crack the enamel. Hand washing is highly recommended to preserve the coating, even if the manufacturer suggests it is easy to clean. Store the pot in a dry place, and if stacking, place a cloth protector between it and other pans to prevent chipping the enamel finish.
