FAQs

Can I use pods with the auto-dosing system?

No, the auto-dosing system is designed for liquid detergent. Pods should not be placed in the dosing compartment.

Does the machine need a water connection for drying?

The dryer function is integrated; while it uses air, internal condensation systems may require standard water line connectivity.

How often should I clean the detergent dispenser?

It is recommended to rinse the detergent and softener compartments once a month or if you switch detergent brands.

Are the OTA updates automatic?

Once connected to the app, you will receive notifications for updates, which you can choose to install through the interface.

What is the maximum spin speed?

The machine supports a maximum spin speed of 1400 RPM.

Can I pause a cycle to add an item?

Yes, most cycles allow you to pause the operation to add forgotten items, provided the water level is low enough for the door to unlock safely.

Troubleshooting

Machine will not start via the Xiaomi Home App

Ensure the machine is powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your smartphone.

Excessive vibration during the spin cycle

Verify that the transit bolts have been removed and that the machine feet are level on the floor.

Clothes remain damp after drying cycle

Ensure the load size does not exceed the 6kg drying limit and that the lint filter is clean.

Pros and Cons

Pros

High A-rated energy efficiency reduces long-term utility costs
Auto-dosing system simplifies laundry and prevents detergent overdose
Quiet operation suitable for modern living spaces
Versatile cycle options from quick washes to deep steam cleaning

Cons

Remote features require a reliable Wi-Fi network
Fixed dryer capacity of 6kg is smaller than the 9kg wash capacity
Requires stable floor surface to maintain quiet operation at 1400 RPM

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Ensure the unit is installed on a level, solid surface to prevent unnecessary noise or movement during the 1400 RPM spin cycles. During setup, connect the machine to your local 2.4GHz network via the Xiaomi Home App to unlock remote control and future firmware updates.

Maintenance Tips:

Regularly wipe the door gasket to prevent lint and residue buildup.
Periodically run a maintenance cycle to clean the internal drum.
Check the drain filter monthly to ensure the water flows freely and to remove trapped debris.
Only use HE-rated detergents compatible with auto-dosing systems for the best results.
