Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation requires basic power tools, including a drill and drill bits, as the lock must be bolted through the door frame. Before drilling, verify that there are no hidden electrical wires or interior panels in the path of the fasteners.
- Measure the door overlap to ensure the lock plate will sit flush.
- Mark the drill points carefully while the door is in the closed position.
- Drill the required holes and secure the backing plate using the provided hardware.
- Test the rotation of the lock axle to ensure it clears the frame without friction.
For maintenance, wipe the powder-coated exterior with a damp cloth to remove road grime. Avoid using harsh solvents that could strip the protective coating.
