Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility Verification: Before purchasing, carefully verify that your vehicle's make, model, and year are listed as compatible. Crucially, confirm that your vehicle's Original Equipment (OE) part number matches one of the supported OE numbers (A 651 090 00 37, K68089 607AA, 14003-HG00A, etc.) and that its production date falls within the specified ranges (up to 09.01.2015, 31.03.2016, or 30.09.2016). Also, confirm it is not a USA/Canada market design and meets its emission standard compatibility.
Installation: Installation of an air intake manifold is typically a complex task best performed by a qualified mechanic. It involves disconnecting various sensors, hoses, and electrical connectors, removing the old manifold, cleaning the mating surfaces, installing the new manifold with new gaskets, and then reassembling all components. Proper torque specifications must be followed.
Care: As a sealed component of the engine's air intake system, the intake manifold itself requires minimal direct care. The primary focus should be on maintaining the air filter, as a clogged or dirty air filter can lead to premature wear or reduced performance of the intake system. Regularly inspect vacuum lines and connections associated with the manifold for leaks.
