Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your boots, begin by wearing them for short walks on flat surfaces to break in the stiff materials before attempting long, steep climbs. Ensure your hiking socks are of appropriate thickness to match the boot's volume; while the forefoot is spacious, an overly thin sock may cause excess movement.
For care, remove the insoles after wet hikes to allow the interior to dry completely. Avoid placing the boots near direct heat sources like heaters or fireplaces, as this can degrade the waterproof membrane and adhesives. Clean the exterior with a soft brush and lukewarm water to remove dried mud, and periodically re-treat the upper materials if you notice water no longer beads off the surface.
