Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before laying the chippings, it is highly recommended to install a heavy-duty landscape fabric or weed membrane underneath the area. This prevents the stones from sinking into the soil over time and provides an extra layer of protection against weed emergence. Ensure the base is level and firm to maintain an even spread.
For care, these chippings are largely maintenance-free. Because they are a natural stone, they do not require cleaning agents; simply rake them periodically if the surface becomes uneven due to foot traffic. If the stones appear dull, a simple hose-down or a rainy day will immediately restore the deep black luster of the material.
