Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
To ensure the best experience and longevity of your Rigaud Rose Couture candle, follow these guidelines:
Initial Burn: For the first use, allow the candle to burn long enough for the wax to melt evenly across the entire surface to the edges of the container. This prevents "tunneling" and ensures a full melt pool.
Wick Maintenance: Before each use, trim the wick to approximately 1/4 inch (6mm). This helps to promote a cleaner burn, reduce smoking, and ensure a more stable flame.
Burning Environment: Always burn the candle on a heat-resistant surface away from drafts, direct sunlight, and flammable materials. Avoid placing it near open windows or air vents, as drafts can cause uneven burning and increase soot production.
Safety Precautions: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not drop foreign matter or wick trimmings into the candle. Extinguish the candle if the flame becomes too high or smoky.
Extinguishing: Use a snuffer or gently dip the wick into the melted wax pool with a wick dipper to extinguish the flame. Avoid blowing out the flame, which can cause smoke and splatter.
Storage: Store the candle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve its fragrance and prevent discoloration.
