Product Information

Full details

The Hansgrohe Raindance Select E 120 3jet hand shower is designed for homeowners seeking enhanced showering pleasure with water efficiency. Its key benefit is the ability to switch between three distinct spray modes with a single button press, offering versatility and a premium experience. A minor consideration is its flow rate limitation, which, while eco-friendly, might be noticeable for users accustomed to higher water pressure. This modern, flat shower head features a fully chrome-plated face, complementing various bathroom aesthetics. Its core features include three spray modes (RainAir, Rain, WhirlAir), a user-friendly Select button for easy switching, EcoSmart technology for reduced water consumption, and QuickClean for effortless limescale removal.

FAQs

What is EcoSmart technology?

EcoSmart technology is a Hansgrohe feature that reduces water consumption by up to 60% without compromising user comfort. For this showerhead, it limits the flow rate to a maximum of 9 liters per minute.

How do I switch between spray modes?

You can switch between the three spray modes (RainAir, Rain, WhirlAir) easily by pressing the user-friendly Select button located on the showerhead itself.

Is this showerhead compatible with my existing shower hose?

Yes, the Hansgrohe Raindance Select E 120 3jet hand shower features a standard G ½ connection thread, making it compatible with most commercially available shower hoses.

How do I clean the showerhead to prevent limescale?

The showerhead features QuickClean technology. Simply rub the flexible silicone nubs on the spray face with your finger or a soft cloth to easily remove any limescale buildup. Regular wiping with a damp cloth is also recommended.

What are the three spray modes and their uses?

The three modes are: RainAir (gentle, air-enriched rain), Rain (a standard spray ideal for rinsing), and WhirlAir (an invigorating massage spray for targeted relief).

Does this showerhead work with tankless (on-demand) water heaters?

Yes, this hand shower is suitable for use with continuous flow water heaters.

What is the flow rate of this showerhead?

The flow rate is limited to a maximum of 9 liters per minute at 3 bar pressure, thanks to the integrated EcoSmart technology.

Troubleshooting

Low water flow or pressure

Check if the rinseable dirt filter is clogged and clean it. Ensure the shower hose is not kinked. Verify that the flow rate is not restricted by other plumbing issues in your home.

Water leaking from the connection point

Ensure the showerhead is securely tightened to the shower hose. Check if the rubber seal or washer is present and correctly seated. If necessary, apply plumber's tape to the threads before re-tightening.

Difficulty switching spray modes

Ensure the Select button is being pressed cleanly and fully. Check for any debris that might be obstructing the button's mechanism. If the issue persists, contact customer support.

Limescale buildup affecting spray pattern

Gently rub the QuickClean silicone nubs on the spray face to dislodge limescale. For stubborn deposits, soak the showerhead (or just the spray face if possible) in a mild vinegar solution for a short period, then rinse thoroughly and rub the nubs again.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Offers three distinct and enjoyable spray modes.
  • EcoSmart technology significantly reduces water and energy consumption.
  • QuickClean feature makes maintenance simple and efficient.
  • User-friendly Select button allows for easy mode switching.
  • Modern and stylish design that complements most bathrooms.
  • Easy installation onto existing shower hoses.

Cons

  • The 9 l/min flow rate may feel low for users accustomed to higher flow showers.
  • While durable, the chrome finish can be susceptible to water spots if not wiped regularly.
  • Requires a standard G ½ connection, which is common but should be confirmed.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Ensure your existing shower hose is disconnected from the old showerhead.
  2. Clean the threads of the shower hose.
  3. Screw the Hansgrohe Raindance Select E 120 3jet hand shower onto the shower hose. Hand-tighten initially, then use a wrench for a secure fit (do not overtighten).
  4. Ensure the rinseable dirt filter is correctly seated within the connection.
  5. Turn on the water supply to check for leaks.

Compatibility:

  • Connection Thread: Compatible with standard G ½ connection threads found on most shower hoses.
  • Water Heater: Suitable for use with continuous flow water heaters.
  • Water Pressure: Designed to function optimally within standard household water pressure ranges (approx. 1-6 bar).

Care:

  • Cleaning: To maintain the chrome finish and spray performance, regularly wipe the showerhead with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  • Limescale Removal: For stubborn limescale, gently rub the silicone nubs on the aerator with your finger or a soft cloth. The QuickClean feature allows for easy removal of deposits.
  • Filter Maintenance: Periodically check and clean the internal rinseable dirt filter to ensure optimal water flow.
