The Devola 100mm Gravity Grill (DVGG100B) is designed for homeowners and contractors seeking a reliable, low-maintenance solution for managing ventilation airflow in bathrooms, kitchens, or hydroponic systems. Its standout feature is the set of gravity-operated shutters that automatically prevent backdrafts and pest entry, though it is important to note that performance may be affected by extreme wind conditions which can cause the shutters to rattle.

This model is designed specifically for air extraction; gravity shutters work best when pushed open by outward airflow.
Fixing screws are generally not included as the required type depends on the surface (e.g., brick vs. wood).
The Devola Gravity Grill is made from durable plastic, selected for its weather-resistant properties.
Yes, standard plastic-safe spray paints can be used, but ensure you do not paint over the shutter hinges.
Yes, 100mm is equivalent to the standard 4-inch ducting size commonly used in the UK.
This is common in exposed areas. Ensure the unit is installed perfectly level, as tilting can make the shutters more prone to noise.
Check for obstructions like dust or cobwebs around the hinge points and clean them with a soft brush.
Installation is straightforward due to the standard 100mm rear spigot, which is compatible with most flexible and rigid PVC ducting. Simply apply a bead of sealant to the frame edge before fixing to the wall for a weather-tight finish.
For care, periodically inspect the shutter hinges to ensure no dust or grease buildup is hindering their movement. A quick wipe with a damp cloth is usually sufficient to keep the mechanism functional and the exterior looking clean.
