Marshalltown Margin Trowel - 52D

A margin trowel is primarily used for applying and smoothing materials like plaster, stucco, or joint compound in tight spaces, corners, and along edges where larger trowels cannot easily reach.

The blade is forged from a single piece of carbon steel and is heat-treated and tempered, making it very strong and durable for demanding work.

Yes, the trowel features a Durasoft handle designed for an ergonomic and comfortable grip, which helps reduce fatigue during extended use.

The blade measures 5 inches long by 2 inches wide (127mm x 50mm).

After each use, clean the blade with water, dry it thoroughly, and consider applying a light coat of oil to prevent rust, especially before long-term storage.

While it's excellent for detail work and corners, its small size makes it less efficient for covering large, flat surfaces. A larger trowel would be more suitable for broad applications.

Clean the blade thoroughly with a scouring pad and water, dry completely, and apply a thin layer of tool oil. Store in a dry environment.

Ensure the blade is clean and free of dried material. Check that the compound is mixed to the correct consistency. For edges, ensure the square end is making full contact.

Ensure your hands are clean and dry. The Durasoft handle is designed for grip, but excessive moisture or debris can affect it. For prolonged use, consider wearing work gloves.
