Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
This shower unit is designed for installation onto existing pipework. It includes all necessary fittings, such as push-fit surface brackets, to simplify the mounting process. Due to the nature of plumbing and the importance of correct valve installation for thermostatic control, professional installation by a qualified plumber is highly recommended.
Compatibility:
- Water Systems: This mixer shower is suitable for high-pressure water systems. It may not perform optimally with low-pressure gravity-fed systems without the addition of a shower pump.
- Pipework: Ensure your existing shower pipework is compatible with a bar mixer valve installation.
Care:
- Cleaning: Clean the chrome finish with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the chrome plating.
- Shower Heads: Periodically check the shower heads for limescale build-up. Most shower heads have rubber nozzles that can be gently rubbed to dislodge limescale. For persistent build-up, follow the specific cleaning instructions for limescale removal, often involving soaking in a mild descaling solution.
- Valve Maintenance: The ceramic disc technology requires minimal maintenance, but it's important to operate the controls smoothly and avoid forcing them.
