FAQs

Are these pants completely waterproof?

Yes, they feature HydroDRY technology designed to provide reliable waterproof protection against rain.

Can I wear these as my only pair of pants?

Yes, they are designed to be worn on their own or over base layers, making them suitable for year-round use.

Do they have an elastic waist?

They feature a semi-elasticated waistband for a comfortable fit that stays secure while moving.

How should I wash them?

Use a gentle machine cycle with technical detergent. Avoid fabric softeners and high-heat drying.

Are the pockets waterproof?

The pockets are zipped for security, but they are not fully seam-sealed waterproof compartments.

Will the material stretch while I am walking?

The TecWEAVE fabric is specifically engineered to be stretchy and move with your body, especially around the knees.

Troubleshooting

Water is soaking into the fabric rather than beading off

The DWR finish has likely worn off; wash the garment with a technical cleaner and re-apply a DWR spray.

Feeling damp inside during heavy exertion

Ensure the ventilation is not blocked by excess layers and check that you are using breathable base layers underneath.

Zipper feels stiff or hard to operate

Gently clean the zipper tracks with a soft brush to remove any dirt or grit, then lubricate with a specialized zipper lubricant.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Highly versatile for both daily use and rugged outdoor activity
Excellent freedom of movement due to articulated knee design
Breathable construction prevents overheating during high-exertion tasks
Water-repellent finish adds a secondary layer of protection
Secure storage with zippered pocket design

Cons

Material may feel heavier than non-waterproof alternatives
Limited to a single color option (Black)
Requires proper care to maintain the DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your Sprayway All Day Rainpant, follow these guidelines:

Cleaning: Machine wash on a gentle cycle using a mild technical detergent. Avoid using fabric softeners, as these can strip the DWR coating.
Drying: Hang-dry in a well-ventilated area away from direct heat sources like radiators to prevent damage to the waterproof membrane.
Re-proofing: If you notice water no longer beads on the surface, apply a DWR spray treatment to restore its water-repellent properties.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place and ensure the pants are completely clean before folding for long-term storage.
