FAQs

How often should I change the water?

Perform a 25% water change weekly.

What kind of fish can I keep in this aquarium?

You can keep small, compatible freshwater fish species. Research the specific needs of any fish you choose, and ensure they are suitable for a 15L tank.

How do I clean the filter?

Rinse the filter media in used aquarium water during your partial water changes. Do not use tap water, as this will kill the beneficial bacteria.

What is the warranty on the aquarium?

The biOrb aquarium comes with a 24-month manufacturer guarantee. The lights and pump have a 12-month guarantee.

Can I use tap water?

No, always use dechlorinated water to remove harmful chemicals from your tap water before adding it to the aquarium.

How long should the lights be on?

Use the built-in timer or set the lights to stay on for 8-10 hours per day to simulate natural light cycles.

What if the remote control for the lights isn't working?

Check the batteries in the remote. If replacing the batteries doesn't fix it, contact customer support.

Troubleshooting

The pump is not working.

Check the power supply and ensure the pump is properly connected. Also, inspect the air hose for any blockages.

The water is cloudy.

This is often due to an imbalance in the biological filter. Perform a partial water change, check the filter media, and avoid overfeeding.

The lights are not working.

Check the power connection to the light unit and the batteries in the remote. Replace the batteries or contact customer service if necessary.
