Setup
- Wash all components: Before first use, wash the glass jar, silicone parts, beech wood spoon, and stainless-steel lid with warm, soapy water.
- Add Kefir Grains: Place the kefir grains in the jar.
- Add Milk/Water: Add milk or sugar water to the jar, according to the recipe.
- Ferment: Place the lid on the jar and allow it to ferment at room temperature for 12-36 hours, or as per the recipe instructions.
- Strain: Once fermented, use the silicone strainer cap to strain the kefir.
Compatibility
The Kilner Kefir Set is designed specifically for making kefir. It is compatible with:
- Kefir grains (not included).
- Milk or sugar water, depending on your preference.
Care
- Cleaning: The glass jar and silicone parts are dishwasher safe. Wash the metal and wood components by hand with warm soapy water and dry them immediately.
- Storage: Store the set in a dry place when not in use.
- Maintenance: Regularly check the silicone cap and jar for any signs of wear and tear.
