Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation of the NDS-5704-F360 is designed for simplicity through its ceiling-mount form factor. Use the following guidelines for successful deployment:
- Connectivity: Ensure your network switch supports IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) to provide both power and data to the unit.
- Integration: The camera supports a wide array of protocols including ONVIF, RTSP, and iSCSI, making it highly compatible with existing VMS (Video Management Systems) and network storage environments.
- Mounting: Secure the unit to a stable ceiling surface. Given the IP66 rating, ensure all cable entry points are properly sealed if used in outdoor or high-humidity environments.
- Maintenance: Regularly inspect the exterior dome for debris or moisture buildup. Use a soft, non-abrasive cloth to clean the lens area to maintain optical clarity. Avoid harsh chemicals that may degrade the housing material.
