No, this vent is for general ventilation and cannot be used with boiler flues or high-temperature kitchen exhaust systems.
The product is typically designed for a standard fit; check your specific packaging for included hardware, though most installations rely on the friction fit into the duct.
While it is made of PS plastic, we recommend keeping the finish as-is to avoid clogging the adjustable threads.
The unit is rated for use up to 40 degrees Celsius.
Yes, SolaDirect offers a white version of this 100mm round ceiling air vent diffuser (MPN: SD-95089).
Yes, it can be used for both ceiling and wall applications provided the ducting is properly supported.
Check the central adjustable plate to ensure it is not closed; also inspect the ducting behind the unit for obstructions.
Ensure you are using standard 100mm ducting and apply a small amount of sealant or friction tape to create a tighter fit.
Clear any accumulated dust or debris from the threads and ensure the plate is not being forced at an angle.
To install, ensure your existing ducting is clean and securely fastened. The diffuser is designed for push-fit or standard mounting into 100mm ducts. Always verify that your ceiling or wall opening is compatible with the 150mm face plate diameter before proceeding. Maintenance is straightforward: periodically remove any dust buildup with a soft, dry cloth or a vacuum brush attachment. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners, as these can degrade the PS plastic over time. If the adjustment plate becomes stiff, a light application of silicone lubricant may be used on the threads.
