This guide is for mechanics and DIY enthusiasts who need a reliable deep impact socket for automotive work, specifically for front ball joints on certain vehicle models. The Laser 7587 provides a robust solution for loosening and tightening stubborn fasteners. A key consideration is ensuring compatibility with your existing tools, as this socket requires either a 3/4" drive or an adapter for 1/2" drive tools.

This socket is designed for front ball joints on Citroën Dispatch, Jumpy, Peugeot Expert, Traveller, and Toyota Proace Van models (from 2016).
The socket requires a 3/4" drive. It can also be used with a 1/2" drive tool when used with the Laser Part No. 3258 (1/2" to 3/4" Adaptor).
The socket's length is 90mm and the outer dimension is 63.8mm.
While designed for front ball joints on the specified vehicles, its use is limited to the socket's dimensions and the fastener size.
Clean the socket after each use to remove debris. Store it in a dry place to prevent rust.
Apply penetrating oil, increase torque setting, or use a breaker bar.
The adapter is Laser Part No. 3258 and can be purchased from automotive tool suppliers.
Double-check that the socket size (44mm) is correct for the nut. Verify the nut isn't damaged or corroded.
Ensure the socket is fully engaged on the nut. Check the impact wrench's torque setting and increase if necessary.
Apply penetrating oil to the nut and let it soak. Use a higher torque setting on your impact wrench. Consider using a longer breaker bar if the impact wrench isn't sufficient.
*Important Note*: Always consult the vehicle's service manual for specific torque specifications.
