Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
Your Seiko Urban Sports Chronograph will arrive in a Seiko Gift Box. Before wearing, you may need to adjust the stainless steel bracelet to fit your wrist. This typically involves removing links; it is recommended to have this done by a professional jeweler to avoid damaging the watch or bracelet. Once the bracelet is sized, set the time and date using the crown on the side of the case.
Compatibility
This watch is a versatile accessory designed to complement a wide range of attire, from casual wear to business casual outfits. Its robust build makes it suitable for active individuals, while its classic aesthetic ensures it won't look out of place in more formal settings.
Care and Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and appearance of your watch, follow these care tips:
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe your watch with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and oils. For the stainless steel bracelet, a slightly damp cloth can be used. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Water Resistance: While rated for 100m, always ensure the crown is pushed in completely before exposing the watch to water. Rinse the watch with fresh water after exposure to chlorinated or saltwater to prevent corrosion.
- Crystal Protection: The Hardlex crystal is durable but can scratch. Avoid placing the watch face down on hard surfaces or exposing it to sharp objects.
- Battery Replacement: As a quartz watch, the battery will eventually need replacement. It is recommended to have this service performed by a certified watchmaker to maintain the watch's water resistance and warranty.
- Storage: When not in use, store your watch in its original box or a soft pouch to protect it from dust and accidental damage.
