Product Information

Full details

The CC Moore Belachan Pellet Session Pack is designed for dedicated coarse anglers, particularly those targeting carp and barbel who require a reliable, high-attractant bait system. Its primary benefit is the inclusion of authentic Malaysian fermented shrimp extract, which provides a pungent, salty profile that naturally triggers feeding responses in wary fish. While the product is highly effective year-round, its potent aroma can be difficult to remove from gear or clothing, requiring careful handling during transit and storage.

FAQs

Are these pellets PVA friendly?

Yes, the 6mm Belachan pellets are low in oil and are completely compatible with PVA bags and mesh.

Can I use this bait during the winter?

Yes, the low-oil content and high solubility of the Belachan attractants make these pellets excellent for cold water, as they remain digestible for fish with slower metabolisms.

What is the best way to use the Liquid Belachan Compound?

You can use the liquid to coat your pellets before spoding, or use it sparingly as a glug for your wafter hookbaits.

How many wafters are included?

The pack includes 10 wafter hookbaits designed to complement the pellet profile.

Will the scent contaminate my other fishing gear?

Belachan has a very powerful, natural fermented aroma. It is recommended to keep the bait bucket separate from clothing or soft tackle bags to prevent odor transfer.

Troubleshooting

Pellets are not softening correctly in cold water

Add a small amount of warm lake water to your pellet mix 15 minutes before use to kickstart the breakdown process.

Strong scent lingering on gear

Use a specialized fishing bait cleaner or a mix of mild dish soap and water to wash down buckets and tools immediately after a session.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Uses authentic natural fermented shrimp attractors
Versatile application for spod mixes, PVA bags, or loose feed
Highly digestible formula prevents overfeeding
Includes a convenient, reusable bait bucket

Cons

Potent odor may linger on hands and clothing
Requires careful storage to maintain aroma intensity
Specialized profile may be less effective on waters dominated by non-shrimp food sources

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To maximize the effectiveness of the session pack, ensure the black bait bucket lid is fully sealed when not in use to prevent the aroma from dissipating or attracting unwanted pests. The pellets are PVA friendly, making them suitable for use with solid bags or mesh systems.

Care instructions:

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Keep the lid of the bucket tight to retain the fermented scent.
Avoid leaving unused liquid compound exposed to air for extended periods.
Wash hands thoroughly after use as the natural fermented scent is intense and long-lasting.
