Product Information

Full details

The Morphe Signature Lip Pencil in Date Night is designed for makeup enthusiasts and professionals seeking a reliable, high-pigment tool to define and shape their lips. Its creamy formula provides effortless application and long-lasting color, making it an ideal choice for creating precise, feather-resistant lip looks. While the formula is highly pigmented and comfortable, users should note that as a sharpenable pencil, it requires periodic maintenance with a standard sharpener to maintain its precision point.

FAQs

Is this lip pencil waterproof?

While the formula is long-lasting and resistant to feathering, it is not explicitly labeled as waterproof.

Can I use this as an eyeliner?

This product is formulated specifically for the lips. We recommend using products intended for the eye area for safety and hygiene.

Does this pencil require a specific sharpener?

A standard cosmetic pencil sharpener designed for lip pencils works perfectly with this product.

How do I achieve a natural look with this liner?

Use a light hand to trace your natural lip line and blend the edges inward with a small lip brush for a soft, diffused finish.

Can this be worn alone?

Yes, you can fill in your entire lip with the pencil and apply a clear gloss on top for a complete, defined look.

Troubleshooting

The tip keeps breaking during sharpening.

Ensure your sharpener is sharp and clean. If the pencil is too warm, chill it in the fridge for 5-10 minutes before sharpening.

The color is skipping during application.

Ensure lips are exfoliated and hydrated before application. Warmed-up, dry lips allow for a smoother glide.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Glides on easily without tugging
Rich, saturated color payoff
Prevents lipstick feathering and bleeding
Comfortable, lightweight feel on the lips
Highly blendable for custom lip looks

Cons

Requires regular sharpening to maintain a precise tip
Not a retractable design
May require more pressure for very dry lips

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To begin, ensure you have a high-quality cosmetic pencil sharpener on hand. When using the pencil, apply light pressure to avoid snapping the tip; build the intensity by layering rather than pressing hard. Store the pencil in a cool, dry place to prevent the creamy formula from becoming too soft. If the pencil feels too soft, place it in the refrigerator for five minutes before sharpening. This product is compatible with most standard lipsticks, glosses, and tints and can be easily removed at the end of the day using an oil-based makeup remover or a gentle lip cleanser.
