The Barbie Inspiring Women series pays tribute to incredible heroines of their time; courageous women who took risks, changed rules and paved the way for generations of girls to dream bigger than ever before. Despite facing gender pay discrimination throughout her tennis career, Venus Williams was committed to achieving more success both on and off the court. She demanded equal prize money for the women's tennis tournament champion as for the men. Sculpted to her likeness and wearing her 2007 tournament tennis uniform, including a visor, tennis racket, & tennis ball, this collectible Barbie doll honors the world champion tennis player & advocate. Includes doll stand and Certificate of Authenticity. Barbie doll cannot stand alone. Colors and decorations may vary. This Barbie Inspiring Women doll honors Venus Williams, a world champion tennis player who advocated for equal prize money for the women's champion as for the men. Venus Williams Barbie doll wears tennis uniform, which includes a top, shorts, visor, & sneakers. As someone who loves accessorizing and fashion, Venus Williams doll includes a green gem necklace, just like her uniform during her 2007 tournament win!
