Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: To set up the rainwater tank, place it on a stable, level surface. Ideally, position it near a downpipe from your roof. You will need a rainwater diverter kit (often sold separately) to channel water from the downpipe into the tank. Ensure the diverter is installed according to its specific instructions. A tap (also typically sold separately) can be installed near the base of the tank for easy access to the collected water. The tank is designed for outdoor use and should be kept upright.
Compatibility: The tank is compatible with standard garden downpipes when used with appropriate diverter kits. It can be used with standard watering cans or hoses (with a tap installed).
Care: Clean the tank periodically with mild soap and water using a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners. Ensure the inlet and outlet (if a tap is fitted) are clear of debris. During winter, especially in areas with freezing temperatures, it is advisable to empty the tank to prevent potential damage from ice expansion. Check and clean any filters associated with your diverter system regularly.
