Built from high-carbon steel with a protective electrophoresis coating, these springs offer over 16,000 cycles of reliable operation to ensure your door opens and closes smoothly. While this kit includes essential tools for installation, it is important to note that garage door springs are under high tension and should only be handled by those with proper experience or professional guidance to avoid injury.

It is highly recommended to replace both springs at the same time to ensure equal tension and balanced performance.
Measure your existing spring's wire diameter, inner diameter, and length to ensure they match the 234-2-28 specifications.
Garage door torsion springs are under extreme tension. If you are not experienced with garage door mechanical repairs, professional installation is strongly advised.
The kit includes two torsion springs, a pair of non-slip winding bars, safety gloves, and a mounting wrench.
With a cycle life of over 16,000, these springs should last for many years under normal residential usage conditions.
Verify that the springs were wound with the correct number of turns and that both the left and right springs are tensioned equally.
Apply a high-quality silicone-based garage door lubricant to the coils.
This often indicates the springs have not been wound enough; consult the door manufacturer's guidelines for the correct number of turns required for your specific door weight.
Before purchasing, verify your existing spring specifications match the 0.234-inch wire diameter, 2-inch inner diameter, and 28-inch length. Setup requires proper winding tools, which are included in the kit. To maintain your springs, periodically inspect them for signs of rust or deformation. Keep the area around the torsion assembly clean and clear of debris. It is recommended to use a garage door lubricant on the coils annually to reduce friction, ensuring the springs move freely without binding.
