Yes, the lid acts as a protective cover when not in use and functions as a secondary bowl for collecting peels while juicing.
Ensure the power cord is firmly seated in the outlet and check that the fruit is pressed firmly and centered on the reamer.
Check that the silicone seal inside the blade assembly is present and clean; ensure the bottle is tightened securely to the blade unit.
Check the stainless steel strainer for pulp buildup and clear any obstructions to ensure smooth flow.
Setting up your Smeg appliance involves removing all protective packaging and wiping the base with a damp cloth before first use. Ensure the unit is placed on a flat, stable surface. For compatibility, ensure you are using the included Tritan bottles only, as they are specifically threaded to lock into the blender base. To maintain the life of your machine, always hand-wash the blender blades and juicer reamer rather than using a dishwasher, which can dull the edges over time. The bottles are generally top-rack dishwasher safe, but verify with the specific manual included in your box. Periodically wipe the exterior with a microfiber cloth to maintain the high-gloss cream finish.
