The Trakker NXG Neoprene Rod Bands are designed for anglers who need a secure, reliable way to bind rod sections together during transit. They offer superior protection for rod blanks through high-quality, cushioned neoprene material and an intuitive design that prevents sections from knocking together. FAQs

How many bands are included in the package?

The product is supplied as a pair of two bands.

Can I use these with other rod brands?

Yes, while designed for Trakker, the adjustable nature of the neoprene and velcro allows them to fit most standard fishing rod blanks.

What are the dimensions of the bands?

Each band measures 20cm in length and 6cm in width.

Will these damage my fishing line?

The soft neoprene material is designed to be gentle, but you should always ensure your line is safely tucked away or on the reel spool before applying the bands.

Are these machine washable?

It is recommended to hand wash them with a damp cloth to preserve the texture of the backing and the integrity of the elastic loops.

Do I need to use the elastic loop?

Using the loop is optional, but it is highly recommended for added security, especially if you are walking long distances with your rods.

Troubleshooting

The band feels loose or keeps sliding down the rod blank.

Ensure the textured side of the neoprene is pressed firmly against the rod surface and check that the elasticated loop is securely hooked around a rod ring or reel handle.

The elastic loop feels overstretched.

Do not force the loop over large components; ensure you are utilizing the closest appropriate rod ring to minimize tension on the elastic.

Pros and Cons

Pros

High-quality, durable neoprene material
Effective textured backing prevents slipping
Extra security via integrated elasticated loops
Universal fit with Trakker luggage systems
Provides excellent cushioning between sections

Requires manual wrapping for each session

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up your Trakker Neoprene Rod Bands, simply wrap the band around the top and bottom of your rod sections, ensuring the textured side faces the blank. Once positioned, engage the elasticated loop over a guide ring or the reel handle for final locking. The bands are fully compatible with all Trakker NXG and NXC rod luggage products. To maintain their longevity, keep them away from sharp hooks that could puncture the neoprene. If the bands become dirty or covered in mud, wipe them down with a damp cloth and allow them to air dry completely before storing them in a sealed bag or box to prevent mildew.
