Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your project remains in top condition, follow these guidelines:
- Preparation: Pre-wash the fabric before cutting to account for any initial shrinkage. Use a gentle cycle at 40 degrees.
- Sewing Compatibility: Due to its medium weight, a universal 70/10 or 80/12 needle is typically sufficient for most sewing machine settings. Use a standard polyester thread for consistent tension.
- Pressing: Use a steam iron on a cotton setting. Because the fabric has a structured finish, it responds very well to pressing, which helps sharpen seam allowances.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent potential fading of the indigo dye over long periods.
