Product Information

Full details

The Houe Click Rocking Chair is designed for those seeking a blend of modern aesthetics and ergonomic comfort for relaxation, indoors or out. Its key benefit lies in its modular, customizable design and smooth rocking motion, allowing for personalized style and effortless unwinding. A potential caveat is its reliance on plastic lamellas, which, while durable and low-maintenance, may not appeal to those seeking natural materials exclusively. This chair features a lightweight steel frame with FSC-certified bamboo armrests and UV-resistant polypropylene slats that easily click on and off for customization. Its design promotes natural movement and provides supportive comfort without the need for cushions, making it a practical and stylish addition to any space.

Troubleshooting

Lamellas are difficult to attach or detach

Ensure you are aligning the lamella correctly with the clips on the frame. Apply firm, even pressure. If detaching, gently pry at the connection points with a non-marring tool if necessary, but avoid excessive force.

Rocking motion feels uneven or stuck

Check that the chair is placed on a level surface. Inspect the frame's curved base for any obstructions or debris. Ensure all lamellas are properly and evenly attached.

Squeaking noise during rocking

This can sometimes occur if the contact points between lamellas or between lamellas and the frame are dry. A very small amount of silicone-based lubricant applied sparingly to the relevant contact points may help. Ensure the lubricant does not stain the materials.

Discoloration of lamellas or frame

While designed to be UV-resistant, prolonged direct sunlight can eventually cause fading. Rotate the chair's position occasionally or bring it indoors during peak sun hours if discoloration is a concern. Ensure cleaning products used are mild and non-abrasive.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

The Houe Click Rocking Chair requires minimal setup. The main frame typically comes assembled. The individual plastic lamellas are designed to be easily clipped onto the frame. Ensure each lamella is securely fastened by pressing firmly until it clicks into place.

Compatibility:

This rocking chair is designed for versatility. It is compatible with various outdoor environments such as patios, balconies, gardens, and poolside areas. It also functions well as a comfortable and stylish accent chair indoors in living rooms, sunrooms, or even bedrooms. The chair is designed to sit on most flat, stable surfaces. Ensure the ground is level to allow for smooth rocking motion.

Care:

Frame: Wipe the thermolacquered steel frame with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the finish.
Armrests: Clean the FSC-certified bamboo armrests with a damp cloth. Periodically, you can apply a suitable wood oil to maintain their luster and protect against dryness, especially if used outdoors.
Lamellas: The UV-resistant polypropylene lamellas are waterproof and can be cleaned with mild soap and water. For stubborn dirt, a soft brush can be used. Simply detach the lamellas for thorough cleaning if needed.
General: Regularly check that all lamellas are securely attached. Store the chair indoors during harsh weather or prolonged periods of non-use to maximize its lifespan.
