FAQs

Is this memory compatible with DDR4 motherboards?

No, this is a DDR5 module and is physically and electrically incompatible with DDR4 slots.

What is the benefit of on-die ECC?

On-die ECC helps detect and correct data errors within the memory chip itself, providing higher reliability for data-intensive tasks.

Can I use this with both Intel and AMD systems?

Yes, it supports both Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO, making it highly versatile for different PC builds.

How tall is the module?

The module uses a low-profile 1.6mm durable heatsink, making it suitable for most compact PC builds.

Does this module require special software for RGB?

It is generally compatible with major motherboard RGB sync software, though you should check your specific motherboard manual for compatibility.

Troubleshooting

System fails to boot after installation

Ensure the RAM is fully seated in the DIMM slot and verify that your motherboard supports DDR5 memory.

Memory is running at slower than advertised speed

Enter your motherboard BIOS and manually enable the Intel XMP 3.0 or AMD EXPO profile.

RGB lighting is not synchronized

Ensure your motherboard's RGB control software is installed and updated to the latest version to recognize the Lexar module.

Pros and Cons

Pros

High-speed data transfer rates up to 6000MT/s
Compact low-profile heatsink fits in small form factor builds
Supports both major overclocking standards: Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO
Integrated on-die ECC enhances data reliability
Customizable lighting adds aesthetic value

Cons

Not backward compatible with DDR4 slots
8GB capacity may be insufficient for high-end professional rendering
RGB software configuration may require motherboard-specific drivers

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To install, ensure your system is powered down and the PSU is switched off. Insert the module into an empty DDR5-compatible DIMM slot until the retention clips click into place. Upon first boot, enter your motherboard BIOS/UEFI settings to enable the XMP or EXPO profile to ensure the RAM runs at its rated 6000MT/s speed. For maintenance, keep the interior of your PC case dust-free using compressed air to maintain optimal airflow around the module's heatsink. Avoid touching the gold contact pins with bare fingers to prevent oil buildup.
