FAQs
How often should I replace this toothbrush?
It is recommended to replace your toothbrush every three months, or sooner if the bristles appear worn or frayed.
Is this toothbrush soft or medium?
The Colgate Extra Clean series is designed for effective cleaning; always check the specific package label for the bristle firmness rating as this model features specialized cleaning tips.
Can I use this with an orthodontic appliance?
Yes, the raised tip can help reach areas around wires and brackets, but be gentle to avoid catching the bristles on the hardware.
Are these brushes BPA-free?
Colgate manufacturing standards ensure their toothbrushes are made from safe, food-grade plastic materials.
How do I best clean the brush between uses?
Rinse the brush thoroughly under running water after each use and store it in an upright position to air dry.
Troubleshooting
Bristles splaying outward too quickly
This is often a sign of applying too much pressure while brushing. Try using a lighter touch.
Brush feels slippery when wet
Ensure your hand and the non-slip handle are properly dry before starting your brushing session, or wipe the handle mid-brush if necessary.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
There is no complex setup required for this manual toothbrush. Simply remove the brush from the packaging and rinse under warm water before the first use. To ensure the best oral health outcomes, replace your toothbrush every three months or sooner if the bristles become frayed. Store your toothbrush in an upright, open-air holder to allow the bristles to dry completely between uses, which prevents bacteria growth. Avoid sharing toothbrushes with others to prevent cross-contamination.
