Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation is straightforward: ensure the ground is sufficiently soft—if the soil is hard or packed, use a trowel to create a small pilot hole before inserting the supports. To maintain the structural integrity, avoid using hammers directly on the top of the supports, as this can deform the steel. While these are designed to be weather-resistant, checking the soil around the base every spring ensures they remain upright after winter frost heaves. If you wish to protect nearby stonework, consider placing a small buffer or mulch layer between the support and the hardscape to catch any rust runoff.
