Laser CO2 Leak Detector

A color change in the fluid (typically to green or yellow) indicates the presence of CO2, suggesting a leak in the combustion chamber, possibly from a head gasket or cracked block.

It is recommended to use the detector when the engine is running and at operating temperature, but be very cautious of hot components.

If the fluid doesn't change color, it may indicate that there's no leak, or that the leak is very minor, or there could be a problem with the testing fluid or the tool.

Replace the fluid after each use to ensure accurate results. The fluid can also expire over time.

Yes, the detector itself is reusable. You will need to replace the testing fluid when needed.

This detector is designed for use on both petrol and diesel engines.

Wipe the exterior with a clean, damp cloth. Do not submerge the detector in water.

Remove the detector, clean it, and store it in a cool, dry place.

Ensure the engine is at operating temperature. Check for leaks in the connection. If the engine is warm and there are no leaks the head gasket may be intact, or the leak is very small.

Check for other sources of CO2 contamination in the coolant. The tester may be contaminated or the fluid may be past its expiry date.
