The Snowdon Timber Fence Post is designed for DIY homeowners and landscaping professionals seeking a reliable, square-profile structural support for garden fencing. Its primary benefit is the pressure-treated finish which provides enhanced resistance against rot and harsh weather, ensuring long-term structural integrity. One important caveat to note is that while the post is pre-treated for longevity, it remains a natural timber product that requires proper grounding to maximize its service life in wet soil conditions.

Yes, but you must treat any cut ends with an approved wood preservative to maintain the integrity of the pressure treatment.
These posts are designed for residential garden fencing panels; they are not intended for heavy structural loads like decks or roof supports.
While the pressure treatment protects the wood, you can apply an exterior wood stain or paint if you wish to change the appearance or add a secondary layer of protection.
Yes, the 75mm square profile is a standard size that works with most common fence panel clips and brackets available at hardware stores.
The post-mix concrete may not have fully cured or the soil base was unstable; excavate, re-level with a spirit level, and add additional support stones before re-filling.
Small cracks are common in natural timber as it dries out; however, if cracks become deep, apply a wood filler or preservative sealant to prevent moisture from entering the core.
To install, dig a hole to the required depth and ensure the base is compacted with a layer of gravel to prevent moisture buildup. Use a spirit level to ensure the post is vertical before pouring in your concrete or post-fixing compound.
For care, while the pressure treatment is highly effective, it is recommended to apply a wood preservative to any cut ends to maintain the integrity of the treatment. Periodically inspect the base of the posts for signs of saturation, and consider applying a water-repellent stain annually to extend the lifespan of the timber surface.
