The Bahco MTS Reversible Magnetic Tip Auto Pocket Tape is designed for professional tradespeople and serious DIY enthusiasts who require high-visibility, durable measurement tools in harsh environments. Its standout benefit is the 100% stainless steel construction, making it fully submersible and rust-proof, though users should note that the automatic locking mechanism requires a dedicated button press to retract, which can feel different compared to traditional manual tapes.

Yes, it is constructed from 100% corrosion-resistant stainless steel, allowing for total immersion in water without the risk of rust.
Yes, the blade features high-contrast metric and imperial graduations printed on both the front and back for maximum convenience.
The tape features an automatic locking system; simply press the retraction button on the case to release the lock and pull the blade back.
The blade itself is stainless steel, but it is equipped with a magnetic, zero-end hook at the tip for attaching to metal surfaces.
The tape is housed in an impact-resistant ABS plastic bi-material case designed for heavy-duty job-site environments.
Check the blade for any debris or sticky residue and clean it with a damp, soft cloth before allowing it to air dry.
Clean the magnetic face of the hook to remove any accumulated metal filings or dirt that may be preventing full contact.
Ensure the retraction button path is clear of dust and cycle the button several times to dislodge any obstructions.
To ensure the longevity of your Bahco MTS tape, always wipe the blade clean with a dry cloth after exposure to mud, grit, or saltwater. While the tape is 100% corrosion-resistant, debris inside the case can impact the internal spring mechanism. To maintain the automatic lock function, avoid letting the blade whip back at high speed; guide it back manually to prevent the zero-end hook from damaging the case housing. Use the integrated belt clip to secure the tape to your tool belt or pocket for easy accessibility during active work.
