FAQs
What makes flannelette suitable for babies?
Flannelette is a soft, brushed cotton fabric that offers excellent insulation and breathability. This makes it ideal for babies as it helps keep them warm in cooler temperatures and comfortable in warmer ones by allowing air circulation.
How do I know if the sheets will fit my cot mattress?
These sheets are designed for standard cot mattresses. We recommend measuring your mattress dimensions (length, width, and depth) and comparing them to the product specifications if available, or ensuring it fits a typical cot size.
Can I use bleach on these sheets?
No, it is not recommended to use bleach on these flannelette sheets. Bleach can damage the cotton fibers and cause discoloration, reducing the lifespan and softness of the fabric.
Are these sheets hypoallergenic?
Made from 100% natural cotton, these sheets are generally well-tolerated by most babies. Cotton is breathable and less likely to cause irritation than synthetic materials. However, if your baby has specific sensitivities, always consult with a pediatrician.
How many sheets come in a pack?
The Junior Joy Baby Flannelette Sheets are sold as a set of two pieces in a hanger poly bag.
Can I dry clean these sheets?
Dry cleaning is not recommended for these sheets. The care instructions suggest machine washing on a gentle cycle and tumble drying on low heat or air drying for best results and fabric longevity.
What is the warranty period for these sheets?
Information regarding specific warranty periods is typically found on the product packaging or the retailer's website. Please refer to those sources for precise warranty details.
Troubleshooting
Sheet feels rough after washing
Ensure you are using a mild detergent and avoiding fabric softener. Wash on a gentle cycle and consider air drying or low heat tumble drying. Flannelette naturally softens with use.
Sheet is difficult to fit onto the mattress
Confirm that the sheet is intended for your cot mattress size. Ensure the mattress is not excessively thick or uneven, as this can make fitting challenging. Try fitting one corner at a time.
Pilling on the fabric surface
Some minor pilling can occur with flannelette over time, especially with frequent washing. To minimize this, wash inside out on a gentle cycle and avoid high heat when drying. Regular brushing with a soft garment brush can also help.
Color fading
Wash the sheets in cold water and avoid direct sunlight when air drying. Using a detergent specifically designed for colors can also help maintain vibrancy.

Care Instructions:
- Washing: Machine washable on a gentle cycle with cold or lukewarm water.
- Detergent: Use a mild detergent. Avoid fabric softeners, as they can reduce the absorbency and breathability of the cotton.
- Drying: Tumble dry on low heat or air dry. Avoid high heat, which can damage the fibers.
- Ironing: If necessary, iron on a low setting. It is recommended to iron while slightly damp.
- Bleaching: Do not bleach, as this can weaken the cotton fibers and affect the color.
