Elf Moto Dot 5.1 Brake Fluid is particularly suitable for braking systems operating under very harsh conditions, especially on motorcycles fitted with disc brakes and used for competition. This synthetic fluid is miscible with all other chemical synthetic fluids of the DOT 3, DOT 4 and DOT 5.1 type, with the exception of silicone DOT 5 fluids and all fluids with a mineral basis (special LHM fluids and others). This fluid meets the requirements of standard FMVSS DOT 5.1 (DOT 5 silicon-free). It is efficient at very low temperatures due to its low viscosity, ensuring efficient brake system functioning even in cold conditions. The fluid's viscosity is suitable for both normal and high temperatures, and it offers good lubricating properties, preventing wear to the braking system. It is thermally stable at high temperatures, has very good oxidation resistance, and low hygrometry, ensuring a high degree of safety under braking. The fluid is not corrosive to metals used in braking systems (tested on tinned metal, steel, aluminum, cast iron, brass, copper) and exhibits excellent compatibility with rubber components such as hoses, gaskets, and seals. Physical-Chemical Properties: Density at 20° - 1.07 kg/dm3, Kinematic viscosity at -40 °C (max) - 900 mm2/s, Kinematic viscosity at 100 °C (min) - 1.5 mm2/s, Boiling point (min) - 260 °C, Boiling point after humidity absorption (min) - 180 °C.
