These screws are versatile, but always verify if the specific finish meets your project's environmental requirements for moisture and corrosion resistance.
Yes, they are compatible with standard POZI and Phillips bits, though the included Stick-Fit bits are recommended for the best experience.
Yes, the assortment comes in a robust metal case designed for long-term storage and easy transport on job sites.
The system provides superior stability and allows for one-handed installation by keeping the screw securely fixed to the driver bit.
The Type-17 point is designed to penetrate most timbers without pre-drilling, though it is still recommended for very hard woods to prevent splitting.
While the Type-17 point is effective, consider drilling a small pilot hole if you encounter excessive resistance.
Ensure you are using the correct Stick-Fit bit for the screw size and applying steady, firm pressure to keep the driver engaged.
Adjust the torque setting on your drill; if it remains raised, ensure there is no debris in the pilot hole or that the timber is not splintering underneath.
To get the best performance, always match the screw size to the thickness of your material. When using the Stick-Fit bits, ensure they are securely seated in the drill chuck. Although the screws are compatible with standard POZI and Phillips drivers, using the included Stick-Fit bits is highly recommended to prevent cam-out and maximize control.
Store the screws in the provided metal case to prevent moisture exposure, which can lead to premature corrosion. Periodically check the Stick-Fit bits for wear; if the tip begins to round off, replace it with one of the spare bits from the set to maintain the integrity of the screw heads during installation.
