Loctite Threadlocker - 50ml - VC901

It is used to lock and seal threaded fasteners to prevent loosening due to vibration and to seal against leakage.

No, Loctite 243 is a medium-strength threadlocker that can be disassembled with standard hand tools.

Fixture time is typically 10-20 minutes at room temperature (22°C). Full cure can take up to 24 hours.

It is primarily designed for metal threads. Compatibility with plastics should be tested, as it may degrade some plastics.

The service temperature range is typically -55°C to +180°C (-65°F to +356°F).

Store in its original container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, with the cap tightly closed.

It means the liquid is thin when stirred or under stress but thickens at rest. This prevents it from running away from the threads before it cures.

Ensure surfaces are properly cleaned and free of oil or contaminants. Check ambient temperature; curing is slower at low temperatures. For inactive metals, a primer might be needed.

Verify that the correct strength of threadlocker was used for the application. Ensure sufficient product was applied to all engaged threads and that adequate curing time was allowed.

Apply localized heat (up to 200°C) to the assembly and then attempt disassembly with appropriate tools. Ensure standard tools are being used.
