Armaflex Pipe Insulation (Pr35192) is an ideal solution for plumbing and HVAC professionals or DIY enthusiasts looking to enhance the thermal efficiency and acoustic performance of their piping systems. This flexible, closed-cell insulation provides reliable protection against heat loss and condensation, though users should ensure they measure their pipe outer diameter accurately to account for the specific 35mm inner bore requirement.

While durable, Armaflex is best protected from direct UV exposure and weathering. If used outdoors, consider applying a protective coating or cladding.
Yes, it is designed to handle standard plumbing temperatures and will help prevent heat loss from your hot water supply.
Use a very sharp, thin-bladed knife. A slight sawing motion works better than a heavy downward press.
No, this model requires a separate contact adhesive to bond the seams securely.
Because of its closed-cell structure, the material is water-resistant and will not absorb moisture, provided the outer skin remains intact.
Armaflex can be painted with most water-based acrylic paints if you need it to match your decor.
Verify that your pipe's outer diameter is exactly 35mm; if it is smaller, use a compatible adhesive tape to secure the insulation firmly.
Check all seams for gaps. If air is reaching the pipe surface, reseal the joints with appropriate pipe insulation adhesive.
To install, ensure the surface of the pipe is clean and dry. Measure the pipe length and cut the insulation using a sharp knife; for 90-degree bends, use a miter box to ensure a precise, gap-free fit. When installing onto existing pipes, use a sharp blade to cut the tube along its length, apply an appropriate contact adhesive to the edges, and seal the seam firmly. For care, keep the insulation away from sharp objects and direct heat sources. Regularly inspect seams to ensure they remain sealed against air infiltration, which is critical for long-term moisture prevention.
