The Sealey SCB75 is a specialized 75mm crimped wire cup brush designed for tradespeople and DIY enthusiasts who require efficient surface preparation and material removal. Its primary strength lies in its ability to quickly strip rust, paint, and contaminants from metal surfaces using a standard power drill, though users should note that the 4500rpm speed limitation necessitates careful control to avoid damage to delicate materials.

No, the SCB75 is designed for power drills with a 6mm shaft; using it on an angle grinder may exceed the safe speed rating and cause tool failure.
It is specifically designed for metal surfaces, such as steel or iron, for the removal of rust, paint, and oxidation.
Because the bristles are steel, they can develop surface rust if exposed to high humidity. Store in a dry place.
The maximum safe speed rating for this brush is 4500rpm.
Yes, always wear eye protection and heavy-duty gloves, as wire brushes can eject debris or loose wires during operation.
Ensure the drill chuck is fully tightened and that the shaft is inserted deeply enough into the jaws.
Verify the brush is mounted perfectly centered and reduce the drill speed to maintain balance.
Check that the tool speed is below the 4500rpm limit and reduce the amount of lateral pressure applied to the surface.
To set up the SCB75, simply insert the 6mm shaft into your drill chuck and tighten firmly. Ensure the drill is set to a speed no higher than 4500rpm. Always wear safety glasses and gloves when operating the brush. For maintenance, store the brush in a dry environment to prevent the steel bristles from oxidizing. If the bristles become clogged with paint or rust residue, use a soft wire brush to clean the filaments between sessions.
