Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: To set up your Kookaburra Shade Sail, first identify secure anchor points. These could be existing structures like sturdy posts, walls, or purpose-built poles. Use the stainless steel D-rings at each corner to attach ropes or cables to these anchor points. Ensure the sail is tensioned evenly along all sides using the integrated straps to create a taut surface. This tension is crucial for both stability and effective water runoff.
Compatibility: This shade sail is compatible with a wide range of outdoor structures. Ensure your anchor points are strong enough to withstand the tension and potential wind loads. Standard marine-grade ropes, turnbuckles, and eye bolts are recommended for secure and adjustable attachments.
Care: The shade sail is made from UV-stabilized, rot-proof polyester and is machine washable. For regular cleaning, hose it down to remove loose dirt. For a deeper clean, detach the sail and machine wash it at 40 degrees Celsius. Allow the sail to air dry completely before re-installing to prevent mildew.
