Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Choose a level, stable, and non-flammable surface for placement, such as gravel, sand, or a concrete patio. Ensure there is adequate clearance from any combustible materials like fences, trees, or structures.
- If installing in-ground, dig a pit slightly larger than the inner diameter of the ring. Place the ring in the pit. For a more permanent installation, consider surrounding the exterior with bricks, stones, or concrete.
- For above-ground installation, simply place the ring directly onto your chosen surface.
- Once positioned, the ring is ready to be filled with firewood or charcoal.
Compatibility:
This fire pit ring is compatible with wood and charcoal as fuel sources. It can be used on various outdoor surfaces, provided they are non-flammable and level. It is suitable for use in backyards, patios, decks (with appropriate fire-resistant mats), and campsites.
Care:
- Allow the fire pit ring to cool completely before cleaning or attempting to move it.
- Remove ashes and debris after each use.
- Clean the exterior with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the high-temperature coating.
- While the coating offers protection, periodic inspection for rust or wear is recommended, especially in harsh climates. Touch-up paint suitable for high-temperature applications can be used for minor repairs.
- For longevity, consider covering the fire pit ring when not in use, especially during prolonged periods of rain or snow.
