Troubleshooting
Sealant not sticking or peeling off
Ensure the surface is completely clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or old sealant. Reapply ensuring proper surface preparation.
Uneven or messy application
Practice applying with a sealant gun on scrap material. Use a sealant finishing tool and smoothing agent within 5 minutes of application for a clean edge. Remove excess uncured sealant promptly.
Sealant remains sticky after 24 hours
This can be due to high humidity, low temperatures, or a very thick bead. Ensure application conditions are within the recommended range and allow additional drying time. Avoid disturbing the sealant during this period.
Mould returning quickly
While the sealant is anti-mould, ensure thorough cleaning of the original mould source before application. Maintain good ventilation in the area to inhibit future growth.
