This 4-piece mini roller set from ProDec is designed for trade professionals and DIY enthusiasts seeking a smooth, high-quality finish on both emulsion and gloss paints. Its key benefit lies in its versatility, offering both woven and foam rollers for different paint types, along with a durable frame and tray. A minor caveat is that it is optimized for smaller areas, so larger projects might require additional rollers.

The woven rollers are designed for better pick-up and release of emulsion paints, providing a smooth, consistent finish. The medium-density foam rollers are ideal for gloss, satin, undercoat, and primer paints, offering a fine, lint-free surface for these finishes.
This set is a 4-piece mini roller set, ideal for smaller to medium-sized areas, trim work, and detailed jobs. For very large walls or extensive projects, you might consider larger rollers or multiple mini roller sets.
For water-based paints, rinse rollers and tray thoroughly with warm water. For oil-based paints or gloss, use the appropriate solvent (like white spirit). Squeeze out excess liquid and allow to air dry completely before storing.
The medium-density foam rollers in this set are best suited for gloss, satin, undercoat, and primer paints. They provide a smooth, non-absorbent surface ideal for these types of finishes.
No, the set includes the mini roller frame and tray. An extension pole can be purchased separately if you need to reach higher areas or longer surfaces.
The tray is made from 100% recycled plastic, making it an environmentally conscious choice.
The frame is designed to be push-fit and is made for trade quality, indicating good durability for regular use.
Ensure the roller is evenly loaded with paint. Check for any debris on the roller surface. For emulsion, use the woven roller; for gloss, use the foam roller.
Ensure you are using a standard 4" mini roller. Push the roller firmly onto the frame's spindle until it clicks or feels fully seated. Check the frame's spindle for any damage or obstruction.
Avoid overloading the roller. Roll excess paint off onto the tray's slope before applying to the surface. Ensure you are using the correct roller type for the paint viscosity.
Ensure you are using the correct roller for the paint type (woven for emulsion, foam for gloss/primers). Check the roller for any loose fibers. For emulsion, consider using a higher quality woven roller if this persists.
