Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Setting up your MAC Studio Fix Fluid for optimal results begins with proper skin preparation. Ensure your face is cleansed and moisturized. Applying a suitable primer beforehand can significantly enhance the foundation's finish, longevity, and adherence, particularly if you have specific concerns like large pores or excess oil. A small amount of foundation is generally sufficient; you can always build coverage as needed.
Compatibility:
This foundation is designed to be compatible with most skincare routines and other MAC products. It pairs well with hydrating primers, mattifying primers, and setting sprays. It works effectively with both cream and powder concealers, blushes, and bronzers. As it offers a natural matte finish, it provides an excellent base for various makeup looks. Its suitable for all skin types formulation ensures broad compatibility, but those with very dry skin might benefit from a hydrating primer or mixing a drop of facial oil into their moisturizer before application to prevent any patchiness.
Care:
- Storage: Store the foundation in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain its consistency and efficacy. Always ensure the cap is tightly closed after each use.
- Hygiene: To prevent contamination and maintain product quality, avoid touching the product directly from the bottle with your fingers. Dispense onto a clean surface or the back of your hand. Regularly clean your makeup brushes and sponges to ensure smooth application and prevent product breakdown due to oils and bacteria.
- Shelf Life: Like most cosmetic products, foundations have a recommended period after opening (PAO). Check the symbol on the packaging, usually a jar icon with a number (e.g., '12M' for 12 months), and discard the product after this time to ensure optimal performance and safety.
