FAQs
Is every box exactly the same?
No. Because the box is crafted from natural travertine limestone, color, size, and texture will vary slightly between individual pieces.
Can I wash this box with water?
It is recommended to clean only with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid soaking the stone or using water-based cleaners as it is a porous natural material.
How much does the trinket box weigh?
The item weighs approximately 2kg due to its solid stone construction.
What are the dimensions of the box?
The box measures 14cm in length, 14cm in width, and 8cm in height.
Is it safe to store delicate jewelry inside?
Yes, it is excellent for jewelry. However, if your jewelry is highly sensitive to scratches, you may want to place a small piece of velvet or felt inside the base.
Troubleshooting
The lid does not sit perfectly flush
Due to the hand-finished nature of natural stone, try rotating the lid 90 or 180 degrees to find the most natural resting position.
Visible spots or color variations on the surface
These are not defects but inherent characteristics of genuine travertine limestone; variations in tone and texture are expected.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Elegant, organic appearance that serves as decor on its own
- Sturdy, heavy-duty stone construction prevents accidental tipping
- Each unit features unique natural marbling and stone patterns
- Effective at keeping small items organized and dust-free
Cons
- Heavier than traditional storage boxes (weighing 2kg)
- Natural stone is porous and may absorb liquids if spilled
- Susceptible to chipping or cracking if dropped on hard surfaces
Setup, Compatibility & Care
No assembly is required; the box is ready for use immediately upon unboxing. Due to the weight of the stone (2kg), ensure your surface is stable enough to support the item. To keep your trinket box in pristine condition:
- Use only a soft, dry cloth for dusting.
- Do not use harsh chemical cleaners, soaps, or abrasive scrubbers, as these can damage the natural stone finish.
- Wipe up any spills immediately with a dry cloth to prevent potential staining of the porous surface.
- Handle with care to avoid impacts that could cause the edges or lid to chip.
