Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Assembly is designed to be straightforward with the minimum of tools required. The halved joint system simplifies the connection of rafters and runners. After cutting posts to the desired length, use the provided flat drill bit to drill a central hole at the bottom of each post. This hole is crucial for correctly locating the posts onto compatible bolt-down or spiked feet (sold separately).
Compatibility:
This pergola is compatible with various Rutland County Garden Furniture foot options, including galvanized steel socket design bolt-down feet and spike feet. These are available as optional extras. Ensure your chosen feet are appropriate for your ground type.
Care:
To maintain the appearance and longevity of the pressure-treated Redwood, it is recommended to clean the pergola periodically with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners. Annual re-treatment with a suitable wood preservative or stain can further protect the timber and refresh its color.
